Childsplay Nursery

Childsplay is a non profit-making co-operative nursery in the centre of Newcastle. We are celebrating our thirtieth anniversary this year.
 
Our nursery is used, in the main, by parents working in or around Newcastle City Centre.  We are registered for 70 children from birth to 5 years.
 
We aim to provide high quality childcare services meeting the needs and expectations of working parents.  The nursery is rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, who praised the exceptional progress our children make in their learning and development.
 
Childsplay was set up by a group of parents and we value parental involvement, support and co-operation both in the care and education of the children and in nursery life as a whole.
Our nursery is directed by an Executive Committee, composed of parents and staff, which is elected at the AGM. All parents and staff are encouraged to participate by attending the AGM and quarterly Open Meetings.
